necessary to achieve important educational goals and objectives.
Attention is devoted to the evaluation process, quality
assurance, faculty development, data gathering, practice

issues. Reference is given to current Residency Review
Committee (RRC) guidelines specific to the ontinuity experience.
General Pediatric Clerkship Curriculum
and Resource Manual
The curricular materials are provided to pediatric clerkship
directors to encourage the utilization of formal curricular
goals and objectives in their program. Curricular objectives
will allow the program to better plan both the student
educational experience and evaluation methods. Optimal
training site(s) and learning experiences for students
can then be developed.

These Guidelines are designed to provide training to prepare
the fellow as a clinical expert in the field of pediatric
medicine. Guidelines are provided for the training of
fellows as pediatric medicine consultants, and for clinical
training in acute care, continuity care, and hospital
care.
Substance Abuse Education in General
Pediatrics: A Manual for Faculty (Fall 1992)
This curriculum manual contains several curriculum units
designed to be used in one of two formats: Short Presentations
and Skills Units. The Short Presentations are one hour
sessions that include topics that are more amenable to
a didactic presentation. The Skills Units are designed
to allow learners to develop and practice new skills related
to the diagnosis and management of substance abuse and
to address teaching about substance abuse.
Training Residents to Serve the Underserved:
A Resident Education Curriculum (Spring 1993)
Given the major social and health problems facing underserved
patients and the lack of routine training in these areas,
this Curriculum offers a standardized curriculum for resident
training that touches on the social and emotional problems
of poor patients and ethnic minorities.
Guidelines for Pediatric Health Care
Delivery in Academic Ambulatory Care Settings (Spring
1993)
These Guidelines are designed for faculty and administrative
personnel in pediatric primary care clinics providing
graduate medical education.
