Region VIII and Region VII had a very successful combined regional meeting in New Orleans, February 21-23 as a part of the Southern Regional Meetings. Please see the Region VII newsletter entry for details as well as a link to Dr David Jaffe's presentation of APA updates. This conference is always a wonderful experience with lots of clinical cases, original research and the always practical APA sponsored workshop. It's never too early to start thinking about next year's meeting on February 20-22, 2014. Be on the lookout for a call for workshop proposals as well as a call for abstracts, both in early summer!
Hopefully, many of you are planning to attend the PAS meeting in May! It once again looks like a full schedule of many fascinating topics. I always have a hard time picking which sessions to attend but hope Region VIII attendees will join us for the regional breakfast on Monday, May 6 at 7:00 AM. Our new Region VIII co-chair will be introduced at the breakfast. Region VIII will also be participating in the Poster Mentoring activities and would love to hear from you if you are interested in helping us in this endeavor.
