Young Investigator Award (YIA)
The Academic Pediatric Association Young Investigator Awards Program provides awards of up to $10,000 or $15,000 (depending upon the specific program) for research by fellows or junior faculty related to child health promotion, health services research, teaching, or patient care. We wish to acknowledge the generous support of the YIAs by the APA, The Commonwealth Fund, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The total number of applications received for the 2010 cycle of the YIA, at 110, far surpassed the total number received in 2009 or any other year. The APA Research Committee is very pleased to announce the 16 recipients of the YIAs for 2010:

Invitation: APA Research Committee Meeting at 2010 PAS Meeting in Vancouver
The annual APA Research Committee Meeting will be held at the 2010 PAS meeting in Vancouver on Sunday, May 2nd, from 11:00 am - 12:30 pmin Oceanview 6 at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The session will include an exciting roster of speakers. Any APA member with an interest in research is welcome to attend!
