George Armstrong, an English physician of the 18th century,
established the first dispensary for children in London,
England, in 1 769. There he served with great devotion
and taught others the care of sick children. He is honored
as one of the fathers of modern pediatrics, and those
who deliver this lecture are also honored as outstanding
teachers and contributors to our knowledge of the care
of children.
The lecture is sponsored by Ross Laboratories, Columbus,
Ohio.
