APA Educational Scholars Program

Mission: The mission of the APA Educational Scholars Program is to assist the membership in developing themselves as productive, advancing and fulfilled faculty members and to increase the quality, status and visibility of pediatric educators in academia.

Goals

1.       To create a comprehensive faculty development curriculum covering six domains, and to coordinate continuing education offerings at regional and national meetings to address each of these domains.

·         Leadership/Administration

·         Career Development

2.       To help members develop personal Faculty Development Plans to guide their CME activities.

3.       To develop a Faculty Development certification process for workshop participants and workshop presenters.

4.       To facilitate networking of members, especially those who want consultation on workshop development and presentation and those who have offered such consultation.
