Specific Goals
- To develop a longitudinal research and quality improvement agenda relating to medically complex pediatric patients.
- To develop an education curriculum on complex care for resident, fellow and attending training that includes clinical practices guidelines.
- To explore solutions to common clinical and systems-based challenges of care delivery to medically complex patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- To delineate which models of care are currently employed in caring for medically complex patients (e.g. medical home, dedicated inpatient services, consult services) and provide a forum to explore the benefits of these models and support for those interested in developing a specialized complex care program at their institution.
